Yesterday, we rounded off our after‑work conferences in a packed Sunset Lounge at ARoS.

The conferences were arranged in collaboration with Profundia and the King Frederik Center for Public Leadership. The events focused on how to create, communicate, and anchor a vision that can unite the organisation.

The conferences have had a particular focus on the municipal reality, characterised in Denmark by reforms, complexity, and constant change. However, we have also had a good number of participants from other organisations – both public and private – as vision work can create positive effects in all types of organisations.

Professional presentations on how vision work can lead to impact

At all three conferences, we offered three presentations with solid professional insights into how to ensure that vision work actually leads to real impact.

At the conferences, Lotte Bøgh Andersen from King Frederik Center for Public Leadership began by emphasising that even an attractive vision has to be put to work out in the organisation in order to create the motivation and cohesion it has the potential to deliver.

Afterwards, Christian Qvick from Profundia unfolded how a vision must be future‑oriented, motivating, long‑term, direction‑setting, ambitious (but realistic) and articulated in guiding principles – in order to really take off.

Our CEO, Jørgen Skovhus Haunstrup, underlined in his presentations that visions are best communicated through dialogue directly with the organisation’s many employees. Therefore, there is great potential in supporting managers with digital tools that both provide a clear framework and are experienced as positively supportive for all parties.

In Copenhagen, Aalborg, and Aarhus alike, we have encountered engaged participants who have reflected on their vision work and gained new perspectives on how to approach the process.

There has been good energy and plenty of valuable input from participants during the reflection sessions, and there has also been curious networking and exchange of experiences over a glass of wine and some tapas.
